MYS Scholarship

MYS works hard to make sure that every kid in the Molalla area has a place and a chance to play sports. Working towards that goal, MYS fundraisers and community sponsors allow scholarships to be given to kids in each sport. Families receiving scholarships are asked to help MYS with fundraisers, coaching, or volunteering to the program in other ways to help offset these costs. The scholarship application needs to be filled out completely and turned in to the MYS office prior to registration closing. The Board of Directors then approves scholarships as appropriate

Molalla Police Youth Activity Fund

All the proceeds from property that becomes abandoned by law is put into the youth scholarship fund.  A parent or guardian can apply for one scholarship, per child, per school year.  If you have 3 kids that each do an activity, you can apply for one for each student.  The student needs to be within the Molalla River School District Area.  Funds are not always available.

The Every Kids Sports Pass – PNW

Pacific Northwest families whose children are encouraged to apply for up to
$150 of after-school sports registration fees.

The EKS Pass Program features a simple-to-use process for getting your child registered for sports.
Our goal is to provide families the resources to bring and keep activity in the lives of their kids.

How The EKS Pass Works:

In partnership with the Julia Love Pritt Foundation, Every Kid Sports and PHIT America are providing funding to low-income families throughout the Pacific Northwest which includes Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. The Pass is available to kids 4 -18 years old participating in recreational after-school sports programs.

Youths, parents, advocates, counselors, and specialists can apply online to Every Kid Sports for “sportsidies.” We are providing financial assistance to assist with registration fees, for your kids’ recreational activities of choice. Grants are available to low-income families living in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Families must present at the time of registration one of the following documents verifying their low-income status:

·         Medicaid enrollment document – with child’s name and dates

  ·         SNAP enrollment document – with child’s name and dates

  ·         WIC enrollment document – with child’s name and dates

  ·         Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for Migrant Education Programs – with child’s name and dates
